This morning, María del Mar Villafranca, Director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife, presented the book “Have you heard about Washington Irving and his Tales of the Alhambra?” at the Palace of Charles V, together with her co-writers María del Mar Aranda, MA of English and English teacher, and the painter Blanca María Uceda, and the publishers of the Editorial Alianza Grupo Género, Aída Anel y Carmen Reyes.
“Have you heard about Washington Irving and his Tales of the Alhambra?” presents the American writer and some of his tales of the Alhambra with an easy language for children. Also the illustrations fit perfectly to the educational text for the little ones.
One of the most outstanding of this book is the biography of Washington Irving, written by María del Mar Villafranca. The selected Tales of the Alhambra are adapted by María del Mar Aranda. Furthermore, the illustrations of the book are works by the painter Blanca María Uceda.
The book has been published by Editorial Alianza Grupo Género in Spanish and in English.
