The exhibition Luis Gordillo. Confesión general (Luis Gordillo – a general confession) is intended as an anthology of all the various stages in the work of this artist from Seville from the late 1950s to his most recent productions.
The exhibition is laid out chronologically and is divided into two interdependent chapters in the form of two exhibitions each housed in an emblematic space in Granada: his early stages from the late fifties to the late sixties are on show at the Centro José Guerrero, while the series and works produced in his later years from the 80s down to the present day can be seen at the Palace of Charles V in the Alhambra.
The exhibition takes us on a tour of these different periods, highlighting the methods he used through drawings and his experimental and documentary use of photography, which has been constantly nourished with painting right down to today.
