Sean Scully: Light from the South
Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife has organised an exhibition to showcase the relationship between artist Sean Scully and the Alhambra. Sean Scully: Light from the South will run from 30 March 2012 in the chapel of the Palace of Carlos V.
Sean Scully (born 30 June 1945) is a Dublin-born American painter and printmaker who has twice been nominated for the prestigious Turner prize.
His work is collected in major museums and galleries worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York City; the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C.; and Tate Gallery, London.
