This summer the Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation is organizing workshops for children in archaeology, painting and literature
Children will be centre stage this summer at the Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation, who have organized a range of educational activities for which registration has just opened. This year’s workshops have various novel aspects and as well as delving into the fascinating world of archaeology or learning techniques to develop their creativity with the paintbrush, there will also be a workshop on literature and heritage for children of between 11 and 15 years old.

The “Gómez-Moreno” Archaeology workshop will be starting on 29 June. The children who take part in this activity which will be held until 3 July and from 13 to 17 July will be taking part in an excavation, cataloguing the pieces they find and discovering different parts of the Foundation of archaeological interest.
The art workshop entitled “Summer with Art” will be held the following week from 6 to 10 July. Like all the other workshops it will run from 10:00 to 14:00 hours, and the children will learn techniques that will develop their creativity in painting and other art forms. This course will be repeated from 20th to 24th of July and is aimed at boys and girls of between six and 11 years old.
Children from 11 to 15 years old will embark on “A journey through heritage and words”, a workshop exploring literature from the perspective of heritage. There will be two sessions of this course from 29 June to 3 July and from 13 to 17 July.
The Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation was created in 1941 out of the estate of the renowned painter José María Rodríguez-Acosta. It is based in Granada in the mansion built by the founder between 1916 and 1930 alongside the Torres Bermejas and very close to the Alhambra and Generalife.
