International Museum Day is almost here and the Alhambra has organized a programme of events for everyone to enjoy. As a warm up, the Museum of the Alhambra will be holding its ‘Nights in the Museum’ programme in which visitors can visit the museum collection after dark from 21:00 to 23:30h. We will also be opening the Museum of the Alhambra on a one-off basis on Monday from 8:30h to 14:30h, and on 18 May we will be inaugurating an exhibition entitled "Household objects in a Nasrid House". Throughout the whole weekend prior to International Museum Day, drawings will be on display by the children who took part in the Draw and Know in the Museum of the Alhambra competition 2015. On Saturday there will also be a brief talk by the expert Mariana Kalaitzidou about the piece of the month, which this month will be the epigraphic frieze in the Mexuar, and on Sunday 17th of May a themed talk about the Legacy of Mudejar Art by the Museum of the Alhambra volunteer, Manuel Zafra.
