“Landscape and Place” by Carmen Laffón comes to the Alhambra

"El Paisaje y El Lugar" (Landscape and Place) is the title of an exhibition by the Seville artist Carmen Laffón, which will be on show in the Alhambra and in Granada from March until 4th June. After its showcasing at the Andalusian Contemporary Art Centre, the exhibition will move to three different sites: in the temporary exhibition room at the Granada Fine Arts Museum in the Palace of Charles V and in the Palace Chapel, at the Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation and at the Palace of La Madraza, in Calle Oficios in Granada.
Almost a hundred works including sculptures, drawings and paintings make up the interesting viewpoint on the world around us offered by Carmen Laffón in this exhibition entitled ‘El Paisaje y El Lugar’, which is curated by Juan Bosco Díaz-Urmeneta. The exhibition takes the visitor on a sentimental journey along the River Guadalquivir, in which as well as the various large series that Laffón has painted, there is also a set of paintings she did in the Gardens of the Alhambra. Most of these works date from the period 2006-2015.
