The Alhambra supports the Basketball World Cup

On this rainy winter morning, the President of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB), José Luis Sáez, found a gap in his busy schedule to visit the Alhambra. On his tour of the Nasrid Palaces, Sáez was accompanied by the FEB Events Director, Paco Barranco, and had his photograph taken in the Court of the Myrtles posing with the Cup from the Japan 2006 Basketball World Cup.
The 2014 World Cup will be held in Spain from 30th August to 14th September. Granada has been chosen as one of the six host cities, alongside Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Seville. This is the 17th time the tournament has been held. It is organized by the International Basketball Federation, the FEB and the Championship Organization Committee.
