Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife launches a new series of expert-guided visits. The programme, which runs from Friday 27 April until June, takes place on Fridays, from 4.00 pm onwards, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10.00 am.
This weekend the value of symbols at the Alhambra is the theme of the expert-guided visits, with a series of tours led by Emilio Villanueva Muñoz, lecturer in History of Art at the University of Granada (UGR); Virgilio Martínez Enamorado, doctor in Mediaeval History at the University of Malaga, and José Miguel Puerta Vílchez, lecturer in History of Art at UGR, whose tour next Saturday will be given over to Reading the Alhambra.
The Generalife will be the centre of the programme for the first weekend in May, with tours through its mediaeval kitchen gardens and other historic gardens.
Tickets can be reserved at the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife offices in Corral del Carbón (12, calle Mariana Pineda) or by phone at 902 888 001, at all la Caixa ATMs or with the Serviticket reservation system at Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife. Visits cost €9. Minimum age: 12 years.
