The new Granada tourist pass will allow a more direct access to the Alhambra. Advance purchasing of the card will enable users to have the exact access time to the Nasrid Palaces. This is one of the main news that will be launched from the 12th of December. Tourists from all over the world will also be able to purchase the pass in advance, over the internet in Caja Granada’s webpage.
Visitors will pick up their card at the Council’s tourist office and they will be able to take the bus and visit various monuments with it, including the heritage sites of the Church, the Science Park and the ‘Museum de la Memoria’.
20,000 Tourist passes were sold this year, 20% more than in 2010. The 3 day pass, priced at 25 Euro, is the most popular format. The other options are 5 days at 30 Euro and the children pass at 9 Euro. In addition to these, a 2×1 promotional campaign will be launched from the 12th of December to the 12th of January, consisting in one pass that can be used by two people.
These tariffs represent an over 50% saving on the individual price of the tickets for the different areas.
