Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife (PAG) launches a new series of expert-guided visits. The programme, which runs from Friday 14 October until November, takes place on Fridays, from 4.00 pm onwards, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10.00 am. The first three will analyse the spaces and uses of the Alhambra site
On Friday 14 October, at 4.00 pm, the cycle will commence with a tour of Nasrid Houses and Palaces, led by Antonio Orihuela, researcher from the School of Arabic Studies. On Saturday 15, at 10.00 am, Lecturer in History of Art at the University of Granada Emilio Villanueva will analyse Symbolic Values in the Façades and Doors of the Alhambra, while on Sunday 16, also at 10.00 visitors will be given an in-depth perspective of Religious Practice in the Alhambra under the Nasrids, by Virgilio Martínez Enamorado, doctor in Mediaeval History at the University of Málaga.
Tickets can be reserved at the Alhambra Gift & Book Shop in Granada town centre (40, calle Reyes Católicos) or by phone at 902 888 001, at all la Caixa ATMs or with the Serviticket reservation system at Alhambra. Visits cost €9. Minimum age: 12 years.
Tickets reserved by phone or internet can be picked up at all la Caixa ATMs, at the Alhambra Gift & Book Shop in Granada town centre or at the ticket machines located next to the site Access Pavilion, inserting the credit card used to make the bookings.
Tickets can also be picked up at the Access Pavilion, by presenting the printout of the reservation, the credit card with which the booking was made or, if it was made in your name, by giving the booking reference number and presenting a valid ID or passport.
