The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife offers to Granada residents free admission and guided tours on Sundays
The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife starts a new edition of Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife, as part of the program Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife. This activity, in collaboration with the Asociación Provincial de Guías de Turismo de Granada, takes place on Sundays in June, July, September from 18:00 on and October from 16:00 on, and it has the purpose of spreading the cultural legacy of the Monument among the local population. The free guided tours for Granada residents added to the 500 tickets for this programme, 280 general afternoon and 220 gardens visit tickets, every Sunday of the year between 2:00 p.m and the closing time of the monument.
Those interested in participating in these tours can make a reservation at the offices in the Tienda de la Alhambra shop in Granada’s city centre, on Calle Reyes Católicos nº 40 – 9:30 to 20:30. Every Sunday afternoon will be 3 groups of 30 persons who will take part in one of the scheduled routes. The three groups will have guided tours, lasting ca. two hours. The rest of the visitors – when the groups for guided tours are complete – may freely visit the routes established for the general admission ticket.
The Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife, the Generalife and the Alcazaba are some of the routes covered by these special visits, about which you may find more information on the Alhambra website. The June route will pass through the flora of the Partal and the Generalife; while that of July will pass through the classic Alhambra; in September it will be the Medina and in October the form and function of water through time and space in the Alhambra fortress.
Throughout the year, the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife has planned a program with activities for Granada residents, which allows the access to the Monument of all the residents in this city and province on Sundays from 14:00 on, after requesting the admission ticket at the offices in the Tienda de la Alhambra shop.
