The Alhambra, with 284,361 tagged photos, is the Spanish monument most photographed by Flickr users, followed very closely by the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona (284,339 photos), according to a study on the image storage website. These two sites are followed by Gaudí’s La Pedrera in Barcelona (62,518 photos), the Teide mountain in Tenerife (58,828 photos) and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (48,894).
Andalusia is the most-photographed autonomous community (534,772), and second in geo-tagged photos (770,000).
Spain has almost 6 million geo-tagged photos. In this regard, Andalusia comes in behind Catalonia, with almost a million and a half geo-tagged pictures, and ahead of Madrid, with 420,000. La Rioja (23,445) and Murcia (63,900) are the least tagged communities. The most tagged cities are Madrid and Barcelona, followed by Seville, Valencia and Bilbao.
