The Alhambra and the Prado Museum, the two sites most highly rated by the International press
The Alhambra and the Prado Museum are the two sites most highly rated by the international press, with regard to Spain’s artistic and touristic heritage, followed by the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, according to a study carried out on 600 international media professionals.
By regions, Andalusia is the most valued “tourist brand”, while Madrid scored highest in the “tourist city” category, Barcelona topped the “vanguard and design” category, while Santiago de Compostela walked away with honours in the “natural destination” award class.
The study carried out by Oak Power Comunicación on tourist journalists from England, Germany, France, Latin America and the United States shows that Andalusia is the Autonomous Community with the best tourist Alhambra.
Andalusia scored 7.9 out of 10 on the scale, followed by Madrid and Barcelona, with 7.3 and 7.1, respectively. Journalists rated Andalusia very highly for its “Spanish spirit, its energy and its passion”.
