The architect Pedro Salmerón Escobar is born in Granada. At present he is the curator of the Cathedrals of Granada and Jaen, and he intervenes like restorer in diverse monuments of Andalusia, among them the Alhambra, the Metropolitan Curia of Granada, the Castle of Vélez Blanco in Almeria and the Palace of the Madraza in Granada.
