This path was built in the middle of the 19th century as a romantic access to the Generalife palace. At its starting point in the Upper Gardens is one of the oldest known specimens of the Moorish myrtle, one of the botanical marvels of the garden, whose DNA is currently being researched. At the other end, the path connects with the Walk of the Cypresses.
