SERVICES
The Alhambra is the main enclave of a complex territorial structure, demonstrating its importance through its dominion over the city of Granada.
There are several personal information points in the Monumental Complex, relaxation areas, parking areas, cloakrooms, etc. The monumental complex has a wide range of services for making the visit.
SERVICES
Cloakrooms
This service will only be available in the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and Generalife which will be free presenting an official ticket for the day. This service is offered to visitors at two points:
Entrance pavilion:
- Large ticket machines: 88cm tall, 43.5cm wide, 42cm deep
- Small ticket machines: 43.5cm tall, 43.5cm wide, 42cm deep
Building next to the Puerta del Vino:
- Large ticket machines: 39.5cm tall, 70cm wide, 48.5cm deep
- Small ticket machines: 39.5cm tall, 44.5cm wide, 48.5cm deep
However, due to the limited units available to visitors, these services can only be provided while stocks last.
Entrance of the monumental complex is not permitted with backpacks, bags, suitcases or other objects. Small sized bags are permitted for carrying personal objects, and small backpacks (40x40cm). In the case of entering with small backpacks, they must be worn on the front of the body, to prevent bothering other visitors or rubbing against the walls.

Information
There are points where information is provided in various languages on opening hours, itineraries, accesses and all services of the monument. These information points are located in the Monumental Complex in Calle Real, Estafeta building and in the Entrance Pavilion.In the city, in Corral del Carbón, Calle Mariana Pineda, 8.
Information
A complaints, suggestions and commendations form is available to visitors at the information counters of the monument.
Post boxes
They are found in the old post office of Calle Real de la Alhambra, and in the Entrance Pavilion.
Parking
The monument has a public car park, monitored and open 24 hours a day, with capacity for 360 vehicles. It has spaces reserved for the disabled, coaches and caravans.
Bicycle parking
There is public parking for bicycles outside, in Plaza de la Alhambra, next to the Entrance Pavilion.
Shops-bookshops
There are three official shops-bookshops of the Alhambra:
- Access pavilion
- Carlos V Palace
- In the city centre: Reyes católicos street, nº 40
Rest areas
The complex has the following rest areas:
- Partal Gardens
- New Gardens
Additionally, there are other rest areas where eating is allowed
- Plaza de los Aljibes
- Gardens facing the cannons
- Plaza de la Alhambra (Entrance Pavilion)
Health assistance
The Monumental Complex has a health assistance service which can be used in emergencies. It is located in the building next to the Puerta del Vino.
Babies
There are baby change facilities in the toilets of the building next to the Puerta del Vino, Generalife (Paseo de los Nogales)
- Mochilas porta-bebé: El Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife, ofrece el servicio de custodia de carritos y préstamo de mochilas porta-bebé gratuitamente. El visitante que lo desee podrá depositar su carrito en la Consigna de Puerta del Vino y obtener a cambio una mochila porta-bebé (hasta un máximo de 12 kg) para realizar una visita más cómoda y contribuyendo además a la conservación del monumento.

The complex has food and drink vending machines located in the following areas:

SPECIAL SERVICES
Wedding photo sessions
The Council of the Alhambra and Generalife allows wedding photo shoots in both the monumental complex and in the Andalusian monuments of the city that it manages. They must be carried out in accordance with the following general conditions.
Modalities
- Free, prior accreditation for the following areas: Lower Gardens of the Generalife, Partal, Paseo de los Nogales, Jardines de San Francisco
- With “Alhambra General” ticket for other visitable spaces. All members of the group, including the wedding party, must purchase a ticket.
- The Carlos V Palace, the Plaza de los Aljibes and the Cuesta de los Chinos, as well as the surroundings of the Alhambra are public spaces of unique appeal and beauty which do not require authorization.

Wedding photo shoots
- Filming and photo sessions must be requested with sufficient notice from the Public Visit and Commercialization Service. After receipt of the request and based on the use and specific conditions of the aforementioned spaces, the Council of the Alhambra and Generalife will respond to the interested party, approving or rejecting the request.
- All individuals accessing the Monument for this purpose must bear accreditation. It will be nominative, the authorized spaces will appear, and it must be kept during the indicated day, as it will be requested by Control and Information Personnel.
- The use of tripods is not permitted.
- Wedding form can be sended to programas.pag@juntadeandalucia.es.
Painter’s card
This card allows artistic activity to be carried out in the spaces of the Monument established by the Council of the Alhambra and Generalife.
It will allow access to the Monument for 30 days, which do not necessarily have to be consecutive.

Artistic or commercial filming and photo sessions
Audiovisual production and photograph sessions at the Alhambra and Generalife are considered as any obtaining of images, on any device, fixed or not, with or without sound, of any interior or exterior area of the Monument, for editorial, advertising, commercial or cinematic uses. Only filming and photograph sessions whose content and values are consistent and compatible with the historic-artistic character of the Monumental Complex will be authorized. The Public Visit and Commercialization Service manages filming and photograph sessions for commercial purposes.

Petición de filmaciones y de sesiones fotográficas
- Filming and photograph sessions must be requested with sufficient notice from the Public Visit and Commercialization Service. After receipt of the request and based on the use and specific conditions of the aforementioned spaces, the Council of the Alhambra and Generalife will respond to the interested party approving or rejecting the request. In any case, the reservation of the filming or photograph session date will not be effective until the formalization of payment of the public prices in effect at any time for the service.
