The Universo Morente exhibition attempts to do justice to someone who is already a myth. The invaluable contribution of the Morente Carbonell family and of numerous artists and collaborators has been of fundamental importance for capturing the essence of the maestro in this catalogue and in the exhibition itself, in which visitors can remember Enrique Morente through some of his most personal possessions, breath in his love of culture and feel his passion for music and for flamenco in particular. 
This project, promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia, seeks to explore, reflect on, investigate and experiment with the Morente legacy and offers a well-deserved tribute to one of Andalusia’s best-known artists, who converted his voice and his knowledge into avant-garde expression, freedom and tolerance while at the same time thrilling us all.
