La imagen de la Alhambra y el Generalife en la cultura anglosajona (1620-1920). By José Manuel Barrio Marco and Héctor Odín Fernández Bahillo.
This publication studies and analyses the image of the Alhambra and Generalife in English-speaking countries from 1620 to 1920. To this end the authors have analysed over 200 writers and a huge number of works, references and mentions of the Alhambra over a 300-year period. The authors of this book have divided their study into centuries offering a chronological presentation of the works according to their publication dates. This clearly shows the possible influences and intertextuality between the different authors and in this way enables us to appreciate how the image of the Alhambra evolved, influenced or stagnated over the three-century period they study.
