COMUNICACIÓN Y PRENSA
Juan Manuel Barrios Rozúa, a Doctor in History of Art, has written the prologue to this book by Richard Ford entitled Granada. Escritos con dibujos inéditos del autor, published by the University of Granada Press (Editorial Universidad de Granada) and the Council of the Alhambra and Generalife.
The most interesting feature of this book is undoubtedly its collection of original drawings by Richard Ford, published here for the first time. These drawings provide highly valuable archaeological information for all researchers of the monument. Readers will also find a biography of Richard Ford written by his friend and fellow Hispanist, Sir William Stirling.
This English artist was inspired by the Alhambra and by Muslim architecture in general and although some of his comments about Spain may seem harsh, his love and deep knowledge of the country predominate, “His beloved Spain” as he describes it in the dedication to the book.
