COMUNICACIÓN Y PRENSA
Granada contada a los niños (“Granada told for children”) is the first issue of the collection Alma Mater from the publishing house Zumaya. The author is Cristina Viñes, Chair professor of Contemporary History, University of Granada, and respected researcher. She pleads for the importance of bringing children closer to the history and artistic heritage of Granada in a simple but sound way.
In a delightfully simple way and with a clear educational criterion, the writer draws an overview of the historic city by means of five interesting routes with suggestive names, such as “To the hill of Albaicín”, “Strolling through the Alhambra“, “At Bibarrambla, the core of the city”, “From Elvira gate to the Magdalena quarter” and “Between Darro and Genil”.
The work consists therefore of a complete tour, in which children, accompanied by their teacher, can discover the variety of Granada and learn more about its legends, its most characteristic spots and its development from ancient times.
