The Patronato de la Alhambra and Generalife starts another round of the Family Programme, by which parents and children can enjoy an enriching experience while walking around the palace city and listening to the explanations made by experienced guides. The Alhambra can be visited in family groups every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 on.
The Nasrid palaces and the Museum of the Alhambra, The defensive system: The Alhambra as a fortress, Water and the Alhambra gardens, The city of the Alhambra and its urban system, or Colours and shapes in the Alhambra palaces are some of the proposals included in this programme.
A previous booking should be made by those interested in joining any of the tours foreseen, at the offices situated in the Corral del Carbón (at 12 Mariana Pineda Street) or by phone: +34 958 575 126. Tour prices are adults and children over age 13: €6, children between 8 and 12 years are only €3 and children under age 8 are free. Those not resident in Granada can make the reservation by fax or telephone.
Meeting point for the visits is at the bronze scale models in the Generalife Entrance Pavilion, next to the ticket offices of the monument. The maximum number of places for each tour, with a scheduled duration of two hours, is between 20 and 30. The entrance ticket for this programme does not include a complete visit of the monument, since it is limited to the guided tour, and depending on the tour chosen, you can visit areas restricted for visitors with general access tickets.
