The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife organizes free activities on the International Museum Day
The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife has organized an intense program of free activities on May 18 on the occasion of the International Museum Day. With this program, the Museum of the Alhambra aims to be in the vanguard of the use of new social communication technologies and to offer to the visitors the possibility to approach cultural heritage in an educational and innovative way.
With the motto “Museums and Memory”, the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife offers special visits to the Museum, the exhibition El surtidor de la Fuente de los Leones (“The water jet of the Fountain of the Lions”) or the 9th edition of the contest Dibuja y Conoce en el Museo de la Alhambra (“Draw and know the Museum of the Alhambra”), addressed to childhood education, primary and secondary school children.
The ceremony to hand out the awards to the best drawings and comics in the initiative and contest called Draw in the Museum of the Alhambra, addressed to childhood education and primary school children, and Know the Museum of the Alhambra, addressed to secondary school students, will take place on May 18. This initiative will be rounded off by the virtual and interactive exhibition Draw and know the Museum of the Alhambra 2011, which starting from May 3 will be on display in the Hall of the Palace of Charles V.
