According to a new quality criterion, some facilities aimed to the public visits have been improved and adapted by the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife. Among the improvements stand out a new Bluetooth connection area, a luggage checkroom, a security scanner and an area dedicated to the Health Care provided by the Spanish Red Cross situated in the monument. Furthermore, an Attention Point for the Visitor has been set up in Calle Real, next to Callejón del Guindo, the most busy area for tourist in the city, aimed to render a personalized information service.
The new luggage checkroom set up in the down floor of the confort station next to the Puerta del Vino (Gate of Wine) will make more confortable the visits by tourists. This new space is provided with 38 new lockers of different sizes and new security scanners to monitor bags and backpacks. Furthermore, those visitors with babies will have the opportunity to leave their prams and they will be lent a Baby Carrier up to 12 kg, a bib and a polar fleece to protect their babies in winter.
In order to apply for this lending at no additional cost, those interested should go to the luggage checkroom next to the Puerta del Vino and show their day ticket providing the entrance day and time, together with an identifying document of the person leaving the luggage. In the same area it is located the Red Cross presence.
With this initiative, the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife intends to contribute to the preservation of the Monument and therefore making the visit around the Complex more comfortable.
