The Patronato de la Alhambra and the Quantity Surveyors College signs a general protocol of collaboration
The organization and promotion of cultural initiatives that stimulate the knowledge and diffusion of the monumental complex, as well as of its aesthetic values and history, is one of the principal aims that the General Protocol of Collaboration gathers, and that was signed this morning, between the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife and the Official College of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Granada, in the meeting room in the Palace of Carlos V in the Alhambra.
María del Mar Villafranca, Director of the Patronato and José Alberto Sánchez del Castillo, President of the Quantity Surveyors Official College, have signed the agreement mentioned above, in which both parts promise to promote and start actions such as improving the utilization of the resources of each entity; to exchange information and experiences related to cultural and architectural promotion; to organize seminars, days and conferences related to the topics included in the agreement; to make the access to the telematic system of information of both entities be possible; the collaboration of quantity surveyors and technical architects in European programs granted to the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife, as experts in Studies of Architectural Viability and others that are considered of mutual interest inside the availabilities of both parts.
This agreement establishes, in the same way, that the Patronato de la Alhambra and the Quantity Surveyors College will have to contribute with the facilities and the necessary means for the development of formative actions depending on their availability; to collaborate in the definition of technical criteria for the selection of professionals that the Patronato will contract; to report and spread the activities developed under the protection of this agreement and collaborate mutually in facilitating the development of the projects managed by both entities.
A joint board of employers and employees will be constituted in order to guarantee the effective coordination of the actions and programs designed under the protection of the present agreement, or anything that arises from it. Three representatives of the Patronato de la Alhambra and three of the Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects College will form it. This commission will be co-chaired by the Director of the Patronato and the President of the College. The duration of the above mentioned Protocol will be of one year from its signing and will be able to be extended by annual successive periods.
