The Council of the Alhambra and Generalife will be taking part in the first Granada White Night on Saturday 19th October, with the opening of the Museum of the Alhambra from 20:00 to 22:00 hours; the Bañuelo Arabic baths, from 20:00 to 24:00 hours, and the Corral del Carbón, in which there will be various musical performances finishing at 24:00h.
The Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation will also be opening the foyer and the gardens of the Central Courtyard, so that anyone who wants can enjoy the spectacular views of the city of Granada from the hill of the Alhambra.
The first Granada White Night is organized by the Granada City Centre Retail Association (Centro Comercial Abierto de Granada) and is supported by numerous institutions that are collaborating on this project and hope that it will be a success. “Our objective is to make Granada a cultural and tourist destination” said Christian Carbajosa Morales, the Manager of the Association.
According to the Delegate in Granada of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Sandra Garcia, the White Night is going to “promote the cultural side of Granada to the full, and boost business for companies working in the tourism and retail sector, the main engines of the economy of Granada, so marking a turning point in the culture of the city, and putting Granada on the map of European cities who have a high quality White Night”.
