The Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife initiates five new routes through the city of the Monumental Complex and its surroundings. This initiative is run by the autonomous body which is managing the monument, the archbishop of Granada and the Culture Office of the Province Granada. Aiming at satisfying the preferences of travelers and local citizens, this new visit program, guided by experts in interpreting natural and architectural Heritage, will be offered Mondays to Sundays, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
These are the planned routes: The Alhambra and Charles V´s Granada, The Christian city, Women in Moorish and Renaissance Granada, The conquest of water, The Alhambra: territory, space and city.
Those interested in participate in the activity, aimed at getting to know relation between the Alhambra and the city and its surroundings through its heritage, can make a ticket reservation online on www.alhambra-tickets.es, or calling to (+34) 902 888 001.
The same day the tour is planned, tickets are available on the Monument´s ticket offices. In January, February and March, the prize for each tour, with groups of no more than 15 persons, is 20 € for adults and free for children under 12 years old.
Meeting point for each tour is on the scale models in the Pavilion at the General Access to the Complex, from where it goes to the historic center of Granada city passing through the Albaicín quarter.
