The Official Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife Website has been recognized as the Best Institutional Website in the second Ideal.es Awards competition. At the award ceremony held on Thursday June 24 at the Conference Hall of the Chamber of Commerce in Granada, María del Mar Villafranca, Director of the independent body, received the award from the hands of Eduardo Peralta, executive editor of the Ideal newspaper. Villafranca said that the prize has to be shared with the entire team and stressed the user loyalty on the web, which reveals either the knowledge of the history of the site, the latest knowledge of the history of the site, or information about the different visit types and the tickets. Concerning this, the Director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife highlighted that “such a site steeped in history cannot turn its back on the new technologies”.
Together with the award for the Best Institution Website, the awards were handed out for other seven categories. The award for the Best Company Website has gone to Gralusa, whereas the one for the Best Blog has gone to Javier Peláez, designer of La Aldea Irreductible. The Arabic baths Hamman have been recognized as the most interesting Strategic Business Development. 300 puntos has been highlighted as the best Digital Community of Granada, whereas the agency In Off Comunicación has received the award for the Best Publicity Campaign, based on the ¿Hablas Alh? project by which the new Centro Alhsur in La Zubia (Granada) was promoted.
María del Pilar López, chairwoman of the Asociación Síndrome de Down de Granada, has received the award for the Best Socially Committed Website, whereas the Cacocu has been the website with most public votes and therefore recognized with the Audience Award.
The Premios Web Ideal.es (“Ideal.es Web Awards”) is committed to promote Internet and reward quality projects and the effort of the persons who worked with Internet during 2009 in Granada.
