The Alhambra and The legado andalusí to organize cultural activities to celebrate the millennium of the Kingdom of Granada

The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife and the El legado andalusí Foundation have signed an agreement by which cultural activities are to be promoted, within the events that mark the first millennium of the creation of the Kingdom of Granada.
On this occasion, thematic exhibitions, congresses and international meetings are to be held, as well as different events, such as concerts or education activities for school children and adults.
Furthermore, both institutions will support the exchange of information, documentation or cultural consultation by experts, within fields such as communication, the academic world or other social communities that may contribute to promote Granada and its relation with Spain, Europe and the Islamic world.
Further collaborations will be the edition of works and the promotion on an international scale of the tours programmed by El legado andalusí. Particularly, the Washington Irving Tour will be highlighted, as well as other activities related to the writer from New York, such as exhibitions, conference series, etc.
