Las Casas de la Mimbre, the Alhambra’s new educational area

The Alhambra’s new educational area will be in the Casas de la Mimbre, situated at the end of the Paseo del Generalife where it joins the Cuesta de los Chinos, just outside the walled area of the Monument. The space has a total of almost 600 square metres distributed over various buildings.
The educational area of the Casas de la Mimbre will be attending above all to schoolchildren, pensioners and disabled people, who will broaden their experience of the heritage in the Alhambra through a series of activities specially designed for them. The Casas de la Mimbre has several interconnected buildings covering a surface of almost 600 m² distributed over the ground floor (334.70 m2), first floor (217.55 m2), tower (25.35 m2) and courtyard (400+12,75 m2).
