Granada’s official Association of Architects exhibits winning and runner-up entries in the ‘Atrio de la Alhambra’ competition
From this morning onwards, the models submitted as part of the Atrio de la Alhambra, Granada International Ideas Competition are on view at Granada’s official Association of Architects. The exhibition includes the winning entry New Door by architects Álvaro Siza and Juan Domingo Santos, and the four finalists, submitted by Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra; Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos; Antonio Tejedor and Manuel Aires; and Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas and JLCG Arquitecto, respectively.
María del Mar Villafranca, general director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife (PAG), visited the exhibition, which runs until 6 May next, along with Luis Cano, chairman of the Andalusian Council of the Association of Architects, and Emilio Herrera, dean of Granada’s official Association of Architects, and representatives from the official Associations of Architects of Córdoba, Seville, Almería, Jaén and Granada.
