Experts examine 25 years of independent management of the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife
25 years of independent management of the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife make the central topic of the course offered from September 20 to 24, as part of the activities organized by Centro Mediterráneo, University of Granada, in collaboration with the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife.
El conjunto monumental de la Alhambra y el Generalife: 25 años de gestión autonómica (“The monumental complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife: 25 years of independent management”), for which the application period is opened now, is chaired by María del Mar Villafranca, Director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife, and coordinated by the art historian Eva Carreño. During five days, a vast group of experts will examine the different actions that marked the evolution of the independent management of the Alhambra during the last 25 years. The course will also enlarge upon different aspects in relation to the history, conservation, planning, planning, knowledge promotion, knowledge promotion and restoration.
The main aim of the meeting is to offer a global vision of the management of the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife as a model, starting from different approaches and methods.
