A new season of Guided Visits by Experts will be starting soon on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, in which the architecture, landscape, art and decoration of the Alhambra will be centre stage. If you fancy discovering new ways of looking at the Palace city, you must book your place in advance online (www.alhambra-tickets.es) or call 902 888 001. The admission price is 9 euros and the minimum age for signing up for the visits is 12, the age at which children normally begin Secondary School.
Music, theatre and poetry will also play a part in the Guided Visits by Experts scheduled for 11th-13th December, on the routes to be followed by Enrique Gámez, the coordinator of the Alhambra AAIICC_PAG project, Andrés Molinari, professor and theatre critic and José Carlos Rosales, writer and professor, respectively.
We will be rounding off December with guided visits by Ramón Rubio, Head of the Department for the Maintenance and Restoration of Plasterwork at the Alhambra, who will be talking about the Honeycomb vaults at the Alhambra on 18th December; Rafael Pérez, Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Granada, who will be exploring the Geometry in the Alhambra, on 19th December, and Gloria Aljazairi, Head of the Department for the Maintenance of Wooden Structures at the Alhambra, who will be talking about Geometric Designs on Doors, on Sunday 20th December.
Entry tickets purchased online or by telephone can be collected at the automatic ticket machines situated next to the Entrance Pavilion at the Generalife or at the Alhambra Bookshop (Tienda de la Alhambra) in Calle Reyes Católicos number 40 Granada.
