The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife has selected the lion as the piece of the month in the Museum of the Alhambra. On Saturdays, 12:00 midday, those interested in knowing more details about the essential piece of Nasrid Art can participate in this free activity program that will analyze the iconography of the lion as an allegorical and mythological animal.
Furthermore, in the course of the program, also the evolution of the lion will be detailed from the beginnings of human history, as well as the reason for using this animal as a symbol of some of the most important architectural sites in Granada: the Court of the Lions.
