Panels from a blind arch from a balcony in the Generalife

As an example of the decorative work carried out during the reign of the Sultan Ismaíl I, we will be looking at this plasterwork decoration from a blind arch from the Bahw or balcony in the Dar al-Manlaka al-Sa`ada in the Generalife.
This piece is currently on display in Room VII of the Museum together with another piece with which it forms a pair.
Through this piece, we will also be analysing the space in which it was located and its function; the decorative aspects of each one of its elements; the techniques used for making plasterwork decorations; as well as the polychrome finishes and the pigments used to paint them.
