The restoration of this piece (Lion n4) belongs to the first phase of the comprehensive project The Fountain of the Lions (Fuente de los Leones), that is framed within the conservation action plan of the Monument developed by the Council of the Alhambra and the Generalife.
After the research and follow-up of the effects of the external action on the fountain, the restoration works started with the individual treatment of this piece. In this way, visitors can observe the lion and enjoy the details of the restoration process (through an audio-visual display) and the findings and data that will permit the further restoration of the rest of the monument.
