in the Alhambra

Summer at the Alhambra is an educational activity aimed at children, which seeks to offer recreational and educational activities for schoolchildren on their summer holidays.
The programme combines guided tours around the different places in the monument, with complementary workshops in which the children taking part play the leading role. The scheduled activities include making perfumes, creating tile patterns and others in which the boys and girls play at being architects.

Objectives 
Increase the children’s knowledge of the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Granada 
Learn to observe, discover and interpret the world around them through various resources and methods of work: Research, artistic expression, sensory perception, games … 
Introduction to historical and artistic terminology and language 
Develop the children’s curiosity, imagination and capacity for communication 
Offer an insight into the Islamic culture in Granada 
Encourage respect for historical and cultural heritage and explain the need for its protection.
