Piece on loan from the Rodriguez- Acosta Foundation
This oil lamp, from the caliphate period and of unknown origin, may well have had some relation to the pieces that constituted the findings at GÓMEZ MORENO, 1888), as evidenced by the formal comparative analysis made with a piece held by the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum of Granada, Registry No. 679. Both have convex reservoirs, a keel reflector, an inverted tapered neck with d supported the lid (in this case lost) and a handle, which may have been quite complex, but of which only the connecting loop located on the back part of the body has been preserved.
Location: Museo de la Alhambra. Sala II
Date: October 2013 – march de 2014
