FIRPA
The Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife participates in the 1st International Heritage Preservation & Restoration Show (FIRPA), on November 12 to 14 in the Exhibition Show Area (Feria de Muestras) in Armilla. Experts on this field will explain in these three days their work with regard to preservation. Among the outstanding specialist will be the Italian Restoration Architect Paolo Marconi, the Master Artisan Trini Genís, as well as María del Mar Villafranca, Director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife, together with the persons in charge of the Conservation Department and the Plasterwork Restoration Shop of the Monumental Complex.
Furthermore, everyone who will come to the stand of the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife will have the opportunity to observe the exhaustive labor done every day in the Monument, as the restoration works in the Court of the Lions, and the one on the plasterwork in the Muqarnas (stalactite) vault of the Hall of the Kings.
The 1st International Heritage Preservation & Restoration Show (FIRPA) is for private and public bodies, companies and professionals of Heritage restoration. This show is organized on the topics of research, innovation, education and employment in the culture and cultural Heritage field, making possible a greater professionalization and diffusion and therefore result in a productivity rise in the cultural field and the one of Heritage preservation.
