Federico according to Lorca
Dancer Eva Yerbabuena is to star in the 11th edition of the Lorca and Granada programme held in the Generalife gardens, with the show Federico según Lorca (Federico according to Lorca), which will also be the exciting finale to the Granada International Festival of Music and Dance on 12 July next. The show will run from 20 July to 27 August.
Federico según Lorca, written and directed by Eva Yerbabuena, and with sets designed by Vicente Palacios, will feature an extensive cast of Flamenco singers, dancers and musicians, including guitarists Paco Jarana, who also composed the music for the show, and Manuel de la Luz; singers Enrique “el Extremeño”, José Valencia and Pepe de Pura; percussionists Manuel José Muñoz “Pájaro” and Raúl Domínguez, and dancers Mercedes de Córdoba, Lorena Franco, María Moreno, Eduardo Guerrero, Fernando Jiménez and Alejandro Rodríguez.
The Government of Andalusia Ministry for Culture has already put the tickets on sale. This 10th edition of the Lorca and Granada programme, co-produced by Patronato de la Alhambra (PAG) and Yerbabuena’s dance company, includes many new features, including the option of buying tickets in advance up to 19 July, with a 33% discount (reduced from €30 to €20).

Another new feature is the combined Federico según Lorca and Generalife gardens and palace ticket. PAG has reserved a daily quota for group visits, which take place from 20.30 to 22.00, when the show starts. The tour covers some of the most emblematic areas of the Generalife site, at a magical time of evening, and there will also be a bar service to make the visit more enjoyable.
