The restoration action activities brought about on the Fountain of the Lions are conceived as an integral actuation that also includes the project for the restoration of the water system.
The aim of the project is twofold; on one hand, to find suitable technical solutions for the preservation of the fountain after restoration (treatment of the closed water-flow system); and, on the other, to recover the traditional water flow system of the Court of the Lions . Studies of the canals, documental analysis and topographic surveys of the Court of the Lions have been applied for this purpose.
