Daily news related to the Council and the Alhambra and the Generalife complex
Next weekend we will starting a new edition of the Alhambra’s family programmein which parents and children can enjoy an “enriching” experience at the palace city. Those interested in taking part in any of the activities, which start next Saturday 4th November, can choose between guided visits to the Monument, a visit to the Monument plus an educational workshop, or a visit to the Fields around the Generalife.
The price of the tours, which have a maximum number of 30 participants, is 6 euros for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age (inclusive); 3 euros for schoolchildren aged between 9 and 15 years old and free for children under 8 years old. In order to make a booking, it is necessary to fill in a form that can be downloaded from the Alhambra website, and then send it by email to alhambraeduca.pag(at)juntadeandalucia.es, where your application will be confirmed.
For the guided tours of the Monument, various different itineraries have been organized. These include the Nasrid Palaces, the Alhambra as a fortress, the city of the Alhambra, Water and the Gardens of the Alhambra, the Christian Alhambra and Tales of the Alhambra. The tours last for approximately two hours. Admission to this programme does not include the complete visit to the Monument, visitors will only follow the specific guided tour.
These activities will later be complemented by another similar one: Drawing with the Family at the Museum of the Alhambra, which is free and takes place in January and February, on Saturdays and Sundays in two sessions: from 11:00 to 12:30 and from 12:30 to 14:00.
